Grammie's Way of Teaching Academy (GWOTA) takes kids away from stressful worksheets and turns the real world into their classroom. Our hands-on workshops let the whole family get their hands dirty building and figuring things out together, with each child contributing at their own level. Best of all, these everyday projects easily check off official state school requirements, so parents can stop worrying and start enjoying learning alongside their kids.

For generations, we have been told that if school is hard, the child just needs to try harder.
We try to force beautifully complex, hands-on, creative minds into rigid, one-size-fits-all boxes. When they don't fit, we get frustrated, and worse—they get frustrated with themselves. They start to believe they just aren't smart.
I know exactly how that feels, because I was that child. I sat in those chairs, completely lost, thinking my teachers just weren't telling me the truth about how the world worked.
But here is what I eventually learned, and what I want every family to know: Life and learning shouldn't be a constant struggle.
When something is broken, you don't just stare at it and cry. You take it apart, figure out how it works, and find a new way to put it back together. That is how I taught myself to fix everything from circuit breakers to washing machines to computers. And it is exactly how we need to approach our children's education.
